Ian started his career in the private client wealth management industry in London before moving to Australia in early 2004. He joined Milestone Financial Services in 2004 as a paraplanner before progressing into an advising role. Ian became a shareholder and director of the business in 2007 and has been instrumental in the transition of Milestone to a goals based advice business. Milestone has been recognised recently in the top 10 of AMP’s financial planning practises nationwide.

Ian works with a wide variety of clients and specialises in helping busy professionals and business owners realise their financial goals.

In 2012, he was awarded the prestigious Financial Planning Association’s Best Practice Award for a Certified Financial Planning® Professional in the ACT which recognises the outstanding outcomes that Ian delivers to his clients.

In 2016, Ian was awarded the AMP Adviser of the Year (ACT) and the exclusive 2017 Most Trusted Advisers award. We first approached Ian and Milestone after our return from 5 years in Hong Kong and Macau. We had money in numerous different places and multiple superannuation accounts. Although we had saved well and we had realised good returns from our Sydney property, we had no plan.

From the outset, Ian listened to us and our drivers and needs as a family. We are exceptionally time poor and Ian and his team took all of the leg work away from us. We needed this service or nothing would get done! We have benefitted from the “one stop shop” approach that Milestone and Ian can offer. He makes himself available out of hours for us and actively pursues close out of the administration required for the various strategies we have implemented.
